Course description
If you are going to use a lifting device, you must be familiar with the work and have documented theoretical and practical knowledge for safe use. In the training, you learn to connect and use lifting equipment efficiently and safely.
What does the law say?
According to the law, the person who drives/uses a lifting device is required to have documented theoretical and practical knowledge. This is what the driver receives in our training concept. In addition to the training certificate, a driver’s license is needed at each workplace that the driver must drive.
According to AFS 2006:6 § 29, a lifting device may only be used by someone who is familiar with the work and who has documented theoretical and practical knowledge for safe use.
Sections 24-25 further describe that: “If an operator of a device for lifting freely suspended loads does not have a clear view of the entire lifting area, either directly or with auxiliary equipment, a person with competence for the task must be in direct contact with the operator and guide him .
The work must be organized so that the load cannot move in a dangerous way. Anyone who secures or releases a load by hand must be able to do so in a safe manner by having control over the lifting device or being in direct contact with the person operating the lifting device.”
